Tarra D’hoine
Physiotherapist
Hi there! My name is Tarra. I completed my undergraduate degree in Hamilton at McMaster University obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. I then returned to my hometown of London to complete my Master of Physical Therapy at Western University.
My approach to physiotherapy care is simple, it revolves entirely around you. I want to work with you to identify your goals and determine how physiotherapy can help you achieve them. Using a focus on education, self-management, and exercise-based rehabilitation, I aim to empower clients to reach their goals. I enjoy working with weekend warriors, helping people stay active, as well as providing guidance to start becoming more active in a safe way. Due to my love for hockey, I also really enjoy working with hockey players! My passion for helping others started me on this journey and keeps me motivated to expand my clinical skills and continue to grow my knowledge of the physiotherapy profession!
In my spare time, I love to stay active! I enjoy playing hockey, kayaking, camping, and hiking with my dog McKinley. You can always ask me about the newest DIY project I am working on.
Eric Hammer
Physiotherapist
Hey, my name is Eric, and I'm a physiotherapist passionate about empowering others through movement and education. Originally from Toronto, I completed my Master of Physical Therapy at Western University, building a strong foundation to support my clients’ recovery journeys.
I have experience in orthopaedic private practice, sports rehabilitation, and acute injury management. My dedication to lifelong learning has led me to pursue advanced certifications, including: Acupuncture, orthopaedic level courses and the McKenzie Method (MDT). I specialize in educating clients on the causes and rehab management of injuries and am committed to understanding the physical, social, and psychological factors that affect my clients' health.
I believe in the power of human connection and empathic communication as key components of rehabilitation. I work closely with each individual to develop tailored strategies that address their unique needs, helping them regain confidence and overcome their fears associated with injury.
Outside of the clinic, I’m an advocate for community engagement. I've organized sports events to support children's development and volunteered abroad, promoting physical activity among youth in Peru.
When I’m not working, you can find me exploring the outdoors or participating in a variety of sports. I have a particular love for keeping fit and active.
Jessica Tomlin
Physiotherapist
Hi! I am Jessica, one of the co-owners of Break Free! A little background on me: I was born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario. I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph and a research-based Master of Science degree in Kinesiology, with a focus on neuroscience at the University of Waterloo. I then moved further west to London where I completed my Master of Physical Therapy at Western University.
I have experience treating individuals across their lifespan with various musculoskeletal issues. I have a special interest in pelvic health and am excited to help those with pelvic pain and incontinence, especially during pregnancy and postpartum. As a new mom myself, I know there are many challenges during pregnancy and beyond and love helping new mamas thrive!
I have completed several courses in acupuncture, dry needling and pelvic health. I enjoy helping people become more active and believe that movement is an integral part to rehabilitation. I understand that each person is unique and has their own pain experience. I design treatment plans based on your individual needs.
Besides being a physio, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working out, doing yoga, cycling and hiking. I hope to do some more travelling someday, hopefully soon!
Corey Kim
Physiotherapist
Hey, my name is Corey, and I’m a co-owner of Break Free Physiotherapy and Wellness. I was born in Seoul, South Korea but grew up in London, Ontario. I finished both my Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Master of Physical Therapy degrees at Western University. I’ve been fortunate to travel the world as a physiotherapist consultant in Nepal teaching at Kathmandu University’s Bachelor of Physiotherapy program.
I’m passionate about helping people find pain relief through movement and believe in self-empowerment by sharing knowledge of the human body and its ability to heal. I look at all the different aspects of your life that could affect your health; physical, social and psychological. I understand that after an injury, you may feel anxious and fearful to move. I want to help you understand your injury and provide strategies best suited to your needs. I believe that human connection is key in rehabilitation and empathic communication is essential in the healing process.
I work with patients across the lifespan with many kinds of injuries. I have a special interest in vestibular rehabilitation and chronic lower back and neck pain. I’m certified in a methodology called the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy that helps my clients understand their injury and how to treat it. I am also skilled in acupuncture, IMS Gunn Dry Needling, manual therapy and exercise prescription.
When I’m not busy in the clinic, I love going on hikes or bike rides with Jess (my wife!). I’m currently playing guitar and learning how to cook different types of food. I’m always craving Vietnamese food and love checking out different local restaurants in London.
Alex Stubbs
Client Experience Coordinator
Hi, I’m Alex. I was born in Peterborough, Ontario and grew up in London, Ontario for all but the first year of my life. I completed a Graphic Design diploma at Fanshawe College, as well as an Administrative and Clerical certification at Pathways. I’ve had the opportunity to work in many facets of the customer service and hospitality industries, and I’m dedicated to delivering an unmatched positive experience to all clients.
I have gone through several years of physiotherapy myself, and understand many of the challenges that present themselves in what can be a difficult life experience. I devote my time and effort into ensuring all clients feel understood and supported. I believe that through perseverance and a positive and encouraging environment, we can all see the benefits of physiotherapy.
I also have a strong affection for technology! I use this expertise to enable those around me to get the most out of electronics and technology platforms in an increasingly fast- paced technological era. By making things simple and easy to understand, or tackling the more complex tasks with ease, I ensure things behind the scenes keep running smoothly.
When I have some free time, I enjoy working out and staying active, spending time with my family, and gaming.
Alisiia Glushak
Client Experience Coordinator
Hi there! My name is Alisiia and I will be helping out Alex part-time at the front desk. I recently completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Western University and am currently completing a minor in Psychology.
After taking a couple anatomy classes in my undergraduate degree, I began to consider physiotherapy as a potential career path. I am fascinated by what the human body can accomplish and have seen how injuries can get in the way of that. Working at Break Free has provided me with an opportunity to gain knowledge about the profession and meet great people! As a Client Experience Coordinator, it is my honour to be able to contribute to the clinic’s welcoming environment, which I believe to be an integral part of any healthcare visit.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, working out, attending dance classes, and going on walks, especially at sunset – my favourite time of the day! I am also an amateur artist. I love to draw portraits and paint various landmarks from around the world that I hope to visit some day.
I look forward to greeting you in the clinic and over the phone!
